How to get to Paxos

HOW TO GET TO PAXOS
By air-plane to Corfu Island

As Paxos does not have an airport most visitors fly to Corfu Island
and then transfer by hydrofoil, sea taxi or ferry onto Paxos.
Corfu has only one airport, called 'Kerkyra' or 'Kapodistrias'
with flight code CFU, located close to Corfu Town.

Between the months of April until late October you can fly
direct to Corfu from most European airports.
The most popular charter flights to Corfu are Mondays and Fridays.
Early morning departures are required to avoid missing the last hydrofoil.
There is also a daily domestic service from Athens.

Here are some very useful links to arrange your flights:

You may find there is a gap between the arrival time of your flight
and the ferry departure time but facilities at the harbor are excellent,
with a left luggage option and a comfortable café/bar.

Routsis helps you with your transfers
This service applies strictly to customers that have booked either
an accommodation or a car with us.

Immediately after you have booked your flights please contact us with
your full flight details so we can assist you with ferry times, ferry tickets and taxis.

Our representative will meet you at the airport, holding a Routsis Holidays sign so you won't miss him.
He will take you to the port, give you tickets for the ferry to Paxos and make sure you'll get on board.
We will meet you on the other end and take you to your accommodation. Same thing will happen on
your way back. We are able to arrange all the above for you, as long as we have your details at least
4 weeks before your arrival so that boat seats can be confirmed. This is particularly important in high
season (July/August) when demand is high.

Once we have all your details we will send you a detailed e-mail with all the information and travel costs.

For those whose flights arrive to Corfu rather late and you miss the ferries then you have two options:
You can either spend the night in Corfu and arrive the following morning on the first ferry/hydrofoil or
if you do not wish to spend the night in Corfu then a sea taxi from Corfu to Paxos is recommended.
Depending on the day you book and the available space in the port that period,
you can reach by sea taxi Gaios, Lakka and Loggos.

Make it on your own way
You can make your own way if you prefer but if you do, we strongly advise you booking your ferry tickets
in advance and be prepared for a long wait for a taxi in Paxos (unless you book in advance).
If you are making your own way and have not book our transfer, there are several possible options to get
on Paxos. On arriving at Corfu airport just go out to the taxi rank outside arrivals & take a taxi from there.
There are usually several taxis available (travel time 8-15mins)
Central Corfu taxi number: 0030 26610 33811
If you are going to Paxos same day you should ask the taxi driver to take you to Sette Venti Caffe at the
new port. This is where all hydrofoils, boats & ferries depart from (from the "rear/sea" side of the café).
At Sette Venti Caffe, there is a left luggage store there where you can put your bags in & wander into
Corfu town if you have time.
