Routsis Holidays has been situated in Laka, Paxos Greece, one of the most picturesque harbors of Paxos Greece in the northern most part of the island. For the last 30 years our office has been at the same spot, at the sea-front.
As we always aim at progress and development and strive to offer efficient services catering to all your needs, we have been transferred to our brand new office at the rear of Lakka village opposite Lakka’s playground, right next door to Yorgos Studios.

Travel to Paxos Greece…
- via Corfu Island
If you are planning to travel to Paxos by plane keep in mind that Paxos travelers are catered to by the Corfu Airport. We highly recommend flying to Corfu, as there are many flights to the island from many European countries all year round and especially in summer time. This is by far the shortest way to arrive to Paxos.

- from Corfu Island
From Corfu you can travel to Paxos Island by ship, hydrofoil or sea taxi, depending on the time of your arrival. If you wish to avoid an overnight stay in Corfu make sure that you arrange an early morning flight to the island, so that you are able to catch a ferry or hydrofoil to Paxos on the same day
Travelling from Corfu to Paxos by…
- Hydrofoil: 55 m trip
- Ferry: 3 h 15 m (via Igoumenitsa)
- Sea taxi: approximately 20 m trip (from Kavos or Lefkimi)

- If you have decided to travel to Paxos by car from Greek mainland, Athens, Thessaloniki or any other region in Greece or Eastern Europe the options are many. So, let us make a few suggestions and pick the one that suits you best.
From Athens
There are three possible routes you may go for if travelling from Athens to Paxos:- Drive to Patras via national highway and board on a ferry to Paxos via Corfu.
- Drive to Rio – just before Patras- via the bridge to Antirrio and via Ionia Odos (Ionia Highway) you reach Ioannina, where you can spend the day or stay the night, so that the following morning you drive to Igoumenitsa and get an early ferry to Paxos. This is a rather interesting suggestion as Ioannina is a wonderful town, truly worth visiting. It is the ideal place for endless walks by the lake and the charming market. You can also take some time for a short boat trip to the little island in the centre of the lake, where you can visit the museum Ali Pasha.
- Drive to Rio – just before Patras- pass the bridge and drive towards Aktio, leading to Preveza and then to Igoumenitsa. We suggest you spend the night at Igoumenitsa so that you catch the morning the ferry to Paxos. You may even travel to Paxos on the same day provided you set off quite early from Athens, so that you manage to get the midday ferry to Paxos
From Thessaloniki
If you are travelling to Paxos from Thessaloniki, there are some good options in which you may organize your trip.- If you can afford the time, your best option would be to drive to Ioannina via Egnatia Odos (Egnatia Highway). You can spend the rest of the day there and explore this beautiful town with the majestic lake and the youthful atmosphere. The following day you can drive to Igoumenitsa and catch the morning ferry to Paxos.
- Your other option would be to set off from Thessaloniki and drive straight to Igoumenitsa via Egnatia Odos. You may either spend the day there or if you leave Thessaloniki early enough you may be able to be on time to catch the morning ferry to Paxos.
If you are travelling to Thessaloniki Greece from the countries of Eastern Europe you may very well go for a trustworthy car rental and drive safely via Egnatia Highway to Igoumenitsa, spend the night there and the following morning you can catch the ferry to Paxos.
- via Igoumenitsa Port from Italy
If you have decided to make a road trip with family or friends you can travel to Igoumenitsa by car ferry via Italy. There are daily car ferry departures during July and August from:
- Brinidsi Port directly to Paxos
- Ancona, Bari and Venice to igoumenitsa As soon as you arrive to Igoumenitsa, you can take the ferry to Paxos. Ferry departures are very often from Igoumenitsa port and the trip lasts for about 1 ½ hour

If you do not wish to stay overnight in Corfu, please note that there is a sea taxi service from Corfu to Paxos any time of day or night.
Upon your arrival on Paxos you will be met by our representative on the island to escort you to your accommodation.
For your convenience, we need to know at least 4 weeks in advance your flight details (arrival and departure times, flight no., and the airport you are coming from) or other travel details in order to make sure you have a safe passage to your accommodation.
Prices for transfers from / to Corfu Airport and ferry crossings to / from Paxos are € 75 for adults and € 40 for children under 11 years old.
